An all-new short clip from Deadpool showcases the film’s female superpowered characters.

The World’s greatest marketing campaign continues to build excitement as 20th Century Fox unloads more and more content for their long awaited, R-rated superhero flick Deadpool.

Since December we’ve really been unable to get away from the posters, images, clips and trailers that Ryan Reynolds and co. have cooked up, and we’re not complaining. After all, the fact that we haven’t heard the ‘Merch with a mouth‘ shut up since the very first teaser, released back in August, is exactly what fans wanted after the poor showing the character received in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, again played by Reynolds. The Canadian actor has professed his undying love for Deadpool and has stated that he’s been trying to get the project off the ground for almost a decade, after he too was frustrated, to put it lightly, that the character was never given the proper treatment in his first outing. Instead he found that the studio preferred keep his otherwise iconic loud mouth physically sewn shut, most likely tactics to avoid having to come up with a way to portray the blood red-costumed hero in a family friendly movie.

The new short clip, playfully titled ‘2 Girls, 1 Punch‘, provides us with a look at the film’s female mutants as they clash in what we can assume to be their first bout of fighting. Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) and Angel Dust (Gina Carano) seem to be powerful adversaries, which perhaps demonstrates the filmmakers’ desire to widen their audience, as up to this point the marketing has primarily been aimed at younger men. The inclusion of strong female characters will likely prove itself a worthwhile addition to further increase the already fast-growing appeal of this movie:
