The hardest-hitting franchise around returns to the movies hoping to capitalise on the more recent success of its videogame counterpart Mortal Kombat 11. Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Raiden, Jax and many more feature in this new MK reboot, with many of the characters being played by real-life martial arts experts. Riveting action throughout gives the fans what they’ve been looking for but critics sub-tract points from the film due to the lack of character development and a mediocre story.
